Campaign
There are national campaigns underway to certify select colleges and universities, and towns and cities, as “Fair Trade”. These campaigns are being facilitated by the Canadian Fair Trade Network, based on Fair Trade Canada’s FLO-Cert criteria.

Canada currently has 21 official Fair Trade Towns and 10 Fair Trade Campuses and Colleges. This movement has been extremely active in Europe and to a lesser extent in the USA. In Manitoba, Gimli and Brandon are both Fair Trade Towns and we’re working on a designation for Winnipeg!
